FRAMINGHAM – For almost 40 years, Wayside Youth & Family Support Network, a non-profit human services agency has served thousands of individuals for behavioral and mental health challenges across the state with the mission of “empowering children, young adults and families to achieve greater independence and emotional well-being.”
Wayside’s biggest and only fundraiser, the 7th Annual 5K4Kids Run/Walk and Halloween Festival is happening on Saturday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walsh Middle School .
Wayside’s goal is to engage 500 people and raise $125,000.
The 5K race is professionally timed. Awards given in all categories. Costumes are encouraged.
Registration is $25 per person, but free for Wayside staff and clients.
Along with the 5K4Kids run and walk, Wayside will be hosting a free, family-friendly Halloween festival featuring bounce houses, obstacle courses, airbrush tattoos, pumpkin decorating, a costume parade, food, and more that day.
Wayside will also be selling raffle tickets with the grand prize a $5,000 getaway vacation. Tickets are $5 for one; $20 for five. They can be purchased day-of or online at the following: https://goo.gl/AY6hsD
