SLIDESHOW: LEGO Build Competition on Framingham Centre Common

FRAMINGHAM – During a playhouse build Saturday at the Framingham Centre Common organized by Habitat for Humanity – Greater Worcester/MetroWest, the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston held an hour-long competition for children to design and construct their dream home.

Among the judges were Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin and Framingham State Rep. Chris Walsh, a licensed architect.

Everyone received a builders’ certificate but ribbons were awarded for best in design, creativity, and construction.

One of the young architects designed a home with a security system, adapted with lasers. One young builder chose to build a home with no bathrooms, while another chose not to construct a home at all, but a giant hot tub.
