Friends of Callahan Unveils Artists’ Corner; Grand Opening Tuesday

FRAMINGHAM – The Heritage Gallery inside the Callahan Center has received a makeover by the Friends of the Callahan Center.

The gallery, received a new coat of paint, and now is also featuring the works of MetroWest artisans and crafters.

The new Artists’ Corner in the Heritage Gallery features photographs, jewelry, pottery, paintings, and more from local artists.

And on Tuesday, Sept 13, the Friends of the Callahan Center will hold a grand opening celebration from 3 to 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend the grand opening for live music, refreshments, and of course to shop.

 A portion of all sales are given to the Friends of the Callahan Center, a 501C3 organizations, that supports programming and activities at the Callahan Center, said Friends President Mark Goldman.

“Everything in the gallery is under $300, and there are individual pieces even priced under $10,” said Goldman.

 

The mission of the Callahan Center is to promote healthy, successful aging for our senior citizens, however many of the programs are open to the public.
