Gas Prices in Massachusetts 16 Cents Lower Than Last Year

FRAMINGHAM – Gasoline prices in Massachusetts remain the same as last week, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham

AAA’s September 6 survey of prices in Massachusetts finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.11 per gallon. The Massachusetts price is nine cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.20. A year ago at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was 16 cents higher at $2.27.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is $1.02, from a low of $1.97 to a high of $2.99.

AAA Northeast is a not-for-profit auto club with 62 offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire and New York, providing more than 5.2 million local AAA members with travel, insurance, finance, and auto-related services.
