Matthew Broderick O’Leary, 20, a life long resident of Framingham, died early Monday July 4, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of Kevin E. O’Leary of Southborough and Nancy (Broderick) Joyce & her husband John of Framingham.
A member of the Framingham High School Class of 2014, Matthew furthered his education at Mass Bay Community College and was currently a sophomore at Framingham State University.
He recently obtained a real estate sales license and had worked for Charlesgate Realty as a rental agent.
A hockey fan who loved the Bruins, he played for Framingham High School as well as with his father in local pick-up men’s leagues. He is remembered by his family for his quick wit, sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Matty is survived by a sister, Mollie O’Leary of Framingham; his maternal grandmother, Vera Broderick of New Rochelle, NY; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Mavis O’Leary of Hopkinton; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and his longtime girlfriend, Samantha Ward. He was the grandson of the late John T. Broderick.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Church, 20 Church Street, Hopkinton.
Burial is private and will take place at a later date.
