UPDATED: Framingham Man Killed in Southborough Crash

A Framingham man was killed in a crash Sunday night in Southborough.

Killed was Matt O’Leary, 20, of Framingham.

O’Leary worked for Charlesgate Realty Group.

He attended Framingham High. He was a former Framingham youth and Framingham High hockey player.

The crash happened at 11:21 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, on Framingham Road, just after the intersection with Marlborough Road in Southborough, according to Southborough Police.

Southborough Fire had to extricate the driver from the 2009 Audi.

He was transported to Marlborough Hospital, where he was later prounounced dead, according to Southborough PoliceChief Kenneth Paulhaus, in a statement.

A preliminary investigation indicated the Audi was travelling southbound, at a high rate of speed, when it swiped another vehicle travelling northbound towards Marlborough, according to Southborough Police.

The Audi continued past Marlborough Road, where it lost conrol crossing the center line, as it continued sideways into the path of a Ford 150 truck.

The driver of the Ford truck had non-life threateneding injuries.

The crash was investigated by the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.

Southborough Police has not released the name of the person killed or the Ford Truck driver injured as of noon.
