1 The Framingham Farmers Market will be open today from noon to 5:30 p.m. on the Framingham Centre Common.

Leche – gelato, Brookfield Candle, Yummy Mummy Brownie, Tiny Farms Kitchen, OMG Bagels, Mary Kay Products, Full Circle Arts and author Anne Sullivan.

2. La Cantina Italiana restaurant at 911 Waverley Street continues its Thursday tradition of Lobster Fest tonight starting at 4, but beginning this week there will be weekly entertainment. Performing tonight at 6 will be Little Red and the Riders.

 

3.  A week after Congresswoman Katherine Clark participated in and helped organize a sit-in on the floor of the U.S. House to demand a vote on gun safety legislation, the U.S. representative who serves Framingham is organizing an event Thursday at the Massachusetts State House. Today at noon, Rep. Clark will be joined by leaders of the Massachusetts legislature, state leaders, local mayors, and gun safety advocates to push for gun violence reforms, on the steps of the State House on Beacon Street in Boston.  

“Thursday’s Day of Action will underscore the strong public support for commonsense measures like universal background checks and preventing gun sales to suspected terrorists,” said Rep. Clark, in a statement.

 

4. The main Framingham Library will hold a story time at 10:15 a.m.

Just a reminder the Library will be closed on Saturday, July 2, Sunday, July 3, and Monday, July 4.

 

5. The Framingham Planning Board is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.
