Police: Texas Man Offered Teen, 14, Money For Sex at Shoppers World

A Texas man offered a teen girl, 14, money for sex outside of Olive Garden Restaurant at Shoppers World on Monday night, June 20, said Framingham Police.

Massachusetts State Police and Framingham Police issued an alert for a white male, with a beard, driving a vehicle with Texas plates after the alert of an attempted abduction.

Sherborn Police stopped a light-colored vehicle fitting the description, after the alert.

Framingham Police arrested Robert Toney, 25, of Austin Texas about 7 p.m., said Lt. Harry Wareham.

He was charged with enticement of a child under age 16.

Framingham Police said he was planning to move to Providence, R.I.

Lt. Wareham said the man approached the teen, 14, just after 5 p.m., and offered to pay her money for sex.

The teen, who speaks  Portuguese, walked away.

The Texas man continued to approach the teen and ask her for sex, according to Police.

He also told her to get in the car. The girl again refused, and the car drove away, said Police.

A witness called 9-1-1.
