Last Day of School Today, So When Do Framingham’s Beaches Open?

Today is the official last day of school for Framingham Public School students.

So when do the Town of Framingham’s trio of public beaches open?

Learneds Pond, Saxonville Beach, and Lake Waushakum will open to the public on Thursday, June 23.

Beach tags went on sale Wednesday, June 15.

This year, for the first-time, beach tags will sold online at www.framinghamrec.com.

Tags can also be purchased at the recreation office on Union Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Tags are $15 per resident or $40 per family maximum.

The trio of beaches, staffed by lifeguards, will be open through August 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Not familiar with the beaches? They are located at:

  • Learneds Pond; located on Shawmut Terrace
  • Saxonville Beach; located on Lake Road
  • Lake Waushakum; located on Nipmuc Terrace
