New York Times Author Tang Visits Stapleton Elementary

FRAMINGHAM – New York Times best-selling author Greg Tang visited Stapleton Elementary School on Thursday, June 9.

Tang has visited more than 750 schools across the U.S. and Canada and has been described as “revolutionary,” “astounding,” and “an answer to my prayers!” for the way he inspires even the most reluctant learners in both math and reading, said the school’s PTO.

Tang’s mission is to help children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds with the fundamentals of mathematics through his books and games, which enable students to have fun while learning key math concepts, explained Stapleton PTO parent Michelle Rosenberg.

Every student in attendance was part of the program, said Rosenberg.

His website, GregTangMath.com offers many free on-line games for students to play.  These games truly are fun from the students’ perspective and reinforce core math concepts.

“This truly was a wonderful event for our students,” Rosenberg said.
