Mary T. (Mesite) Beatrice, 101, a resident of Framingham, passed away peacefully, June 5, 2016 at Bethany Health Care in Framingham.
She was the wife (for 71 years) of the late Anthony J. Beatrice who died in 2011.
Mary was born in Sudbury, daughter of the late Salvatore & Lucrezia (Ferraro) Mesite.
She graduated from Framingham High School in 1932 and became a beautician.
She owned and operated The Charm Box in Framingham for 46 years retiring at age 77.
She was very involved in NAMI and Advocates, receiving the Heart of Gold Award for outstanding support and dedication to people with disabilities.
She achieved her dream of helping to establish the Vernon House, in Framingham.
She participated in St. Bridget’s Young at Heart and was a Framingham Union Hospital Aid.
She was a participant of the Framingham Heart Study, and a longtime parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church in Framingham, where she taught CCD. An avid cook, she enjoyed gardening and going to Foxwoods.
She is survived by her son Anthony J. Beatrice, Jr. of Framingham, her daughter, Linda McNally & her husband Robert of Ashland, her granddaughters, Marissa McNally Costello & her husband Michael of Charlestown, and Lauren Coville & her husband Jason of Norwood, one great grandson, Weston Coville, her sister, Eleanor Peterson of AZ, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Mary is predeceased by her brothers, James, Joseph, Francis and Pasquale Mesite.
Visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham, on Wednesday June 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
Funeral Services and interment will be private.
