Eryn Flynn will be busy in June.
Not only will she graduate from Saint Bridget School in Framingham, but she just published her first novel, and she will have a book signing event.
Flynn, a grade eight student, published her first young adult chapter book, Beyond the Waterfall. It was four years in the making for the young author, who also recently had a poem published in the America Library of Poetry Collection.
It will be available to the public, via Mascot Books, in September, but on June 14, the Ashland resident will launch her book with an exclusive Saint Bridget School book signing. (The book costs $19.99.)
Beyond the Waterfall is a young adult fantasy novel that follows Kyla Marine as she embarks on a mysterious journey through a secret passageway on her school grounds, according to the publisher.
When Kyla Marine crosses into the new world, she hopes she’ll find the answers she’s been missing. Instead, she only has more questions as her life and the life of her best friend are put into danger, according to the publisher’s description.
Flynn announced her news about publishing her first book Friday at the school.
