The Town of Framingham will hold a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Building. The public is invited.
A small parade will take place from the Police Station to the step of the Memorial Building, featuring the Framingham Fire Department Color Guard, Veterans, politians, and Boy and Girl Scouts. Attendees are asked to meet in the parking lot between the two buildings at 10:30 a.m.
The keynote speaker will be the presiding judge at the Middlesex Veterans Treatment Court Michael Fabbri.
Framingham Veterans Agent Peter Harvell said Medals of Liberty will be issued to the family of a Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans, killed in action.
The medals will be presented to the families of PFC Malen Barker, who died in 1951, and SP4 Paul Cahill, who died in 1970.
Framingham High student Kat Lawrence, a member of the award-winning Framingham High School Drama Company, and a member of the Class of 2016, will sing the National Anthem and America The Beautiful.
