Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down two cents this week, remaining well below the price of a year ago, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham.
AAA’s May 16 survey of prices in Massachusetts finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.17 per gallon, two cents lower than last week.
The Massachusetts price is five cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.22.
A year ago at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was 46 cents higher at $2.63.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 64 cents, from a low of $1.99 to a high of $2.63.
