Editor’s Picks: 5 Things To Do Today in Framingham May 7

Each weekend, Susan Petroni, the editor and publisher of Framingham Source makes her suggestions on what to do in Framingham and MetroWest. Below are her picks for Saturday, May 7, 2016.

  1. Shop Community Yard Sales: Both Brophy Elementary PTO and Barbieri Elementary PTO are holding community yard sales today. Brophy’s is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Barbieri from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

2. Purchase Plants: The Framingham Garden Club, Pinefield Garden and Plymouth Church are all holding garden and plant sales today.

3. Dads & Donuts: The Framingham Library will host its popular Dads & donuts hour at the Christa McAuliffe Library today at 10 a.m. The event is for children from birth to age 6 with their dads or caregivers.

4. Catch a Movie: The Framingham Library will host a free screening of the PG movie Fly Away Home at 2 p.m. at the Christa McAuliffe Library branch. The movie is teenage girl and her estranged father learn what family is all about when they adopt an orphaned flock of geese and teach them how to fly.

5. Listen to Music: Listen to bluegrass, jazz, country, rock and blues, with the Railroad House Band at Amazing Things Arts Center tonight at 8. Tickets are $18, $15 for members, $17 for seniors and students and $9 for children under age 12.
