FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Fire Chief Joseph Hicks announced the promotion of Captain Marc Leporati to Deputy Chief.
Chief Hicks also announced the promotion of the department’s first ever female lieutenant. Susanne Crippen will rise to that rank on Friday, May 6.
Two Lieutenants James Ahearn and Kurt O’Rourke will become captains in the department.
And firefighters Brian Knight, Jose Rubio, Greg Benitich and Crippen will become the department’s newest lieutenants.
Firefighter Luke Moro will be promoted to a temporary lieutenant.
“I am confident in the depth of experience, value and commitment that each individual has to the Framingham Fire Department and the entire Framingham community. We are extremely fortunate to have such a dedicated group of people working to keep our community safe,” said Chief Hicks.
Town Manager Robert Halpin in a statement said “The amount of talent in the Framingham Fire Department is impressive, it is gratifying to see professionals rise through the ranks and assume command positions within the department.”
