5 Injured in Southborough Route 9 Crash

Southborough Fire Department responded to a 2-car crash on Route 9 eastbound at Woodland Road at 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, April 24.

Five individuals were injured in the crash.

The Southborough Fire Department found a single person trapped and injured in a pick-up truck found on its side, off the side of the road.

The other vehicle had four occupants, one that was unresponsive.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene but was unavailable.

Four patients were transported to UMass Memorial in Worcester and one to MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham

Framingham ambulance and Ashland and Westborough Fire assisted at the scene.

Route 9 east was closed until 7 a.m. for investigation purposes.

No names have been released yet.
