FRAMINGHAM – Mayor Charlie Sisitsky made the decision to have an in-house law department for the City of Framingham.

In August, he hired City of Malden City Solicitor Kathryn Fallon to head up the department, at a starting salary of $175,000.

On November 14, Bridget Bradley started as Assistant Solicitor at a salary of $145,000 a year.

On the same day, Audra Shaw began as the administrator and paralegal for the legal department. Her salary is $86,155.

Now, the City of Framingham has hired Lyndsay Davis as an attorney for the department at a salary of $115,000.

This means, the 4-person in-house legal department will be all female.

The four salaries for the department total $521,155.

Long-time City and Town attorney Chris Petrini retired earlier this year.

In the first four years as a City, the legal department budget was $750,000, $704,665, $641,287 and $730,000.

One of the goal’s of an in-house legal team is to save money.

The Fiscal year 2023 legal department budget was $600,000 total, including a budget of 4 salaries.

That number is an 18% decrease from the $730,000 in FY 22.
