FRAMINGHAM – Nancy Anne McGrath of Framingham, passed away at 70 years old, surrounded by many members of her family on December 8, 2022.
She was born in Pittsfield, NJ but grew up in Venezuela.
She attended boarding school in Washington, D.C and stayed there to study French and Arabic at Georgetown University.
As a young woman, she briefly lived in Egypt. She became a published author with her travel guide for the country.
Later, she worked for the Dick Cavett show and then the Port Authority at the World Trade Center.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for Computer Associates as an analyst.
Nancy spent the last decades of her life with her beloved cats in Framingham.
She enjoyed roller coasters, a cappella music, photography, jewelry making, the Boston Red Sox, languages, and travel were just some of the many things she was passionate about at various points in her life. She had an undeniable zest for life that inspired both friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by her brothers, Frank and John McGrath, their spouses, Tracy and Ann McGrath, her sisters, Susan Blyde and Amy Manetta, and brother-in-law, Damon Manetta. She is survived by 12 nieces and nephews, including her Goddaughter, Anna Manetta and her Godson, Daniel Blyde.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Joseph McGrath and Anne Herbermann McGrath, and her niece, Margret Muccitelli.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 12-3 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, Framingham, MA 01702.
