FRAMINGHAM – Bernard “Bernie“ Zecker of Framingham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully Saturday, December 11, 2022

The son of Hyman and Esther Zecker, Bernie was born in Dorchester on August 13, 1934.

Bernie began his career as an educator and then went on to become a food service director for the Framingham Public School system.

Bernie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His pride and joy where his two sets of twin grandchildren all born within the same year. He was the beloved husband of Beryl Zecker for 65 years and the father of Gail Chancey and husband Larry, Scott Zecker and wife Jill, his grandchildren Heather and Elyssa Chancey, Haley and Adam Zecker, his sister Helen Yenof and husband Alvin along with many nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his brother Sumner Zecker.

Graveside services will be held on December 13, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Framingham Natick Hebrew Cemetery, 10 Windsor Avenue in Natick.

Shiva will be observed following the services on Tuesday until 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m.
