3. Today is the deadline to apply to be a runner with Team Framingham 2023 and the deadline for charities to apply to be in the lottery for team Framingham 2023. Five charities will be chosen randomly and 22 runners will be chosen. Deadline to apply is 4 p.m.
4. Today is the last day to RSVP for a Shabbat Veterans dinner.
Friday is Veterans Day. The City of Framingham will observe the federal holiday with a ceremony at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Building.
Prior to the ceremony, there will be a tour of veterans memorials in the City. The public is invited to attend.
Schools, the City’s libraries, and municipal offices will be closed on Friday, November 11.

5. Framingham Library events:
- The Christa McAuliffe Library branch will hold Story Writing 101 with author Erin Dionne tonight at 7. Do you have a story idea you’re dying to get on paper, but don’t know where to start? Working on a NaNoWriMo project and feeling overwhelmed? In this event, Dionne will share tips and tools to help you tell a story effectively, avoid writers’ block, and confront the blank page with confidence. Bring a notebook and pen and get ready to write!
- The main Framingham Public Library will host a lecture and discussion on the mid-term elections tonight at 7 as part of the LifeLong learning Lecture series. David Smailes, Associate Professor of Political Science at Framningham State, where he teaches courses in American politics, public administration and American political thought, will lead the lecture.
- McAuliffe Library will host a make your own bird feeder craft at 1:30 p.m. for students ages 8 and older.
