UPDATED: Framingham Reports 10 COVID-19 Fatalities in Last 48 Hours, Surpasses 1,300 Coronavirus Cases

FRAMINGHAM – In the last 48 hours the City of Framingham has announced 10 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the coronavirus.

Today, May 13, the City of Framingham announced six more COVID-19 fatalities.

That is 24 deaths in the last 6 days.

In total, there have been 66 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus.

The City also reported a 29 new positive coronavirus cases today, and 41 cases in the last 48 hours.

The City now has had 1,323 individuals test positive since the pandemic began.

UPDATED: Mass Department of Public Health reported at 4 p.m. the City of Framingham at 1,347 cases – 24 more cases than the City reported at around 3 p.m.

The good news is 452 individual have recovered.

The city now has 805 active cases as of May 13.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 252 residents in quarantine.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested for the virus in Framingham.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

the 1,300 coronavirus cases is just under 2% of the city’s population.

The City said via its spokesperson it does not have “Framingham-specific information on how many of our residents are being tested.  The state receive statewide information from all testing labs on the number of tests conducted each day.  We, nor any individual community, receive community-specific information from any testing lab.”
