ASHLAND – The Town of Ashland is reporting a total of 145 positive coronavirus cases as of today, May 6.
Since the pandemic began, Ashland has never had more than a dozen positive cases within a 24-hour period.
The most cases reported were 11 cases on April 24, and the Massachusetts National Guard tested residents of Waterview Lodge on Route 135 on Wednesday, April 22.

The Town of Ashland released a chart today, May 6, on cases per day since the community’s first reported coronavirus case on March 9.
Individuals between 50-59 are first, followed by those 60-69, then those in their 40s, and then those 30-39.
It is unknown how many residents have been tested in Ashland.

The state reported 1,754 new cases in the last 24 hours. That brings the total number of positive cases in Massachusetts to 72,025.
The state tested 6,290 individuals in the last 24 hours
As of May 6 at 4 p.m., the state has tested 339,639 individuals.

Massachusetts ranks third in the United States behind New York, and New Jersey for the most positive cases.
The 72,000+ cases is the equivalent of all the cases in the countries or Ireland Belgium.
There is no cure and no vaccine for COVID-19, at this time.
