FRAMINGHAM – Priscila Sousa is the best candidate for the new MA 6th Middlesex District.
Besides being vibrant, hardworking, intelligent, and passionate, she knows what the South side is about. She understands the beauty and diversity of our residents and business and cultural offerings.
I feel more importantly, she understands the struggles and challenges endured by the most socioeconomically, racially, and ethnically diverse segment of Framingham.
You’ll hear her talk passionately about how hard it is for kids to not have access to high quality pre-K that they can actually get to and afford. She sees the impact of this firsthand as chair of the school committee. She understands how hard the outdated school choice program is on kids. She knows the struggles to be bussed all the way across Framingham because that’s the kids’ assigned school. These things are really important. An educated society is a better society.

She’s experienced the challenges and opportunities of owning a business in Framingham. She’s knocked on hundreds and hundreds of doors and talked to members of our communities and heard our love for the neighborhoods and personal challenges in a changing world.
I can’t help but also notice how many people are working for and support Sousa who live and work on the South side.
The makeup of her supporters and campaign volunteers speaks volumes in how hard she’ll work to advocate for legislation that will benefit or at least not adversely impact those of us who live here.
