FRAMINGHAM – Lifetime Framingham resident Tiffany Dodd is hosting a walk-a-thon on August 13 to benefit the Oley Foundation.
Founded in 1983 by Lyn Howard, MD and her patient, Clarence “Oley” Oldenburg, the Oley Foundation is a national, independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that strives to enrich the lives of those living with home intravenous nutrition (parenteral) and tube feeding (enteral) through education, advocacy, and networking. The Foundation also serves as a resource for consumer’s families, clinicians and industry representatives, and other interested parties, according to the website.
“I was diagnosed after being diagnosed for half my life with an immune deficiency which in turn has made it so I can not eat food. I am an ambassador for a non profit called the Oley Foundation,” said Dodd.
The event is on August 13 at 1 p.m. at Cushing Memorial Park.
