FRAMINGHAM  – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be conducting overnight construction operations at the Route 9 eastbound off-ramp to Route 126, and the Route 126 northbound ramp to Route 9 eastbound, during the week of July 31.

Work will begin on Sunday, July 31 at 9 p.m. through the next day at 5 a.m., with work continuing nightly until Friday morning, August 5. The work will require temporary overnight ramp closures and detours.

Detours will be as follows: 

  • During the work, traffic traveling on Route 9 eastbound will be directed to use Caldor Road and Cochituate Road (Route 30). 
  • Traffic looking to access Route 9 eastbound from Route 126 northbound will be directed to use Route 9 westbound and Cochituate Road (Route 30). 

  

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area. 

 Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
