FRAMINGHAM – Margareth Shepard has earned the endorsement of the statewide organization Progressive Massachusetts, along with its local Framingham chapter,  in her campaign for state representative.

“Margareth Shepard has deep community roots, an impressive record of advocacy for social justice and immigrants’ rights, and a history of being a trailblazer,” the organization shared in a statement. “She has been actively engaged in increasing civic engagement with the Brazilian-American community and understands that we get the best policy when we bring everyone, especially the most marginalized, into the democratic process. Progressives in Framingham looking for an ally in the State House have one in Margareth.”

“I am grateful to be endorsed by the local chapter and statewide organization of Progressive Massachusetts,” said Shepard.  “The issues Progressive Massachusetts advocates for on Beacon Hill, notably economic, social, racial, and environmental justice, are the issues that fuel this campaign and my years of public service.”
