FRAMINGHAM – The first-ever City of Framingham Community Corner event was held at Butterworth Park on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, yesterday July 8.
Community Corner is an event for people of all ages to come outside and enjoy the day.
There was games, including corn hole, a checkerboard, and Connect4. There also was dancing & yoga.
Framingham Fire brought a firetruck for big and little kids to explore and distributed plastic fire helmets to little kids.
There was an exercise ladder with an instructor doing drills.
The Framingham Public Library’s bookmobile was parked at the park for the event.

The 2-hour event was sponsored by the City of Framingham, Framingham Police, Framingham Fire, Framingham Library, and Framingham Parks & Recreation. The MetroWest YMCA was a community partner.
“It’s been great fun for all the kids and their grown-ups. It’s been fun to see all the ways we can have fun and be active with each other outside,” said Jenny Brennan, with the MetroWest YMCA
The City of Framingham will host four more community corner event this summer.
