WASHINGTON – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added six symptoms of the Coronavirus to the 3 symptoms it announced earleir this year.

 The new symptoms are:

  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

These symptoms, according to the CDC, can appear 2 to 14 days after exposure to the coronavirus.

Previously, the CDC listed just three known symptoms: shortness of breath, cough and fever.

Physicians and scientists have been reporting about these symptoms for weeks.

In March, British otolaryngologists reported that patients in their country has experienced a loss of smell and taste. They believe this symptom could appear in asymptomatic individuals who were positive for COVID-19.
