FRAMINGHAM – William E. Egan, 88, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at St. Patrick Manor in Framingham.

He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Dempsey) Egan who died in 2020.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late George L. and Marian A. (Murphy) Egan.

Many will remember Bill as a well-respected man who worked for many years for the Town of Framingham in the Assessor’s office.

He formerly worked as an X-ray tech at Leonard Morse Hospital and in the shipping department at Sharon Bolt and Screw.

Bill is survived by his son, Tim Egan and his wife Tina Furno Egan of Douglas, and Bill’s daughter Kate LaMarre Littehales of Telluride, CO.

He was also the proud grandfather of Terri Nutter and her husband Ed of Uxbridge, Samantha Egan of Milford, Mackenzie Egan of Milford and Cory Saucier and his wife Ashlynn of Slidell, LA.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham followed by his funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Road in Framingham.

Burial will follow in Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline.
