FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High boys tennis team defeated Milton High in its home opener yesterday, April 13 at the Bowditch Field tennis courts.

The final score was 3-2 Flyers.

“This was our most competitive home opener in years,” said head coach Chris Strader.

Captains this season are seniors Sanjay Karikal at first singles and senior Luke Cohen at first doubles.

“Jordan Cohen played incredible at 3rd singles,” said head coach Strader.

“Second doubles closed out the match about 30 minutes after taking the court from 1st doubles,” said the Flyers head coach.

Junior Sanjay Nadkarni filled in at 1st doubles (for his first varsity appearance this season) and dominated with Luke Cohen, said Coach Strader.

Karikal lost at first singles 1-6 and 2-6 to Milton freshman John Dickens.

Junior Jake Kahn lost at second singles to Milton sophomore Ethan Tran 4-6 and 4-6.

Freshman Cohen defeated Milton senior Myles Phung 6-1 and 6-3.

Framingham won both the doubles sets.

Senior Cohen and junior Sanjak Nadkarni won 6-2 and 6-0.

Seniors Sam Deveau and Braeden peterson won 6-0 and 6-2.
