FRAMINGHAM – Creating Infrared Images with Your iPhone will be the focus of the next Gateway Camera Club meeting.

The meeting is on Zoom on March 22 from 7 to 9;30 p.m.

Rad Drew will share what he has learned about the accessories needed, the best RAW shooting methods, and the most effective RAW processing methods, for creating wonderful infrared images with the ease and convenience of the iPhone.

What you’ll learn:

• accessory options for your phone to record infrared images

• 3 mobile cameras/apps and methods for creating infrared images in RAW format

• 4 different tools for processing RAW infrared files

• 3 iPhone and one desktop method for achieving great infrared results

• Processing instruction including editing sequences and masking tips

Teacher, photographer, and tour leader, Drew, creates with the iPhone, mirrorless, and infrared cameras. he is a frequent contributor to PSA Journal, and was listed in PSA’s Who’s Who in Photography 2018. Android users are welcome with the understanding that this was developed primarily for the iPhone. Not all of the content covered will be be directly applicable to Android phones. Accessories for leading androids (Moment cases, Moon Dog Filter Mount, infrared filters) are available, and apps including Lightroom Pro Camera (which provides RAW capture and RAW editing capability) and SnapSeed, are both available for android phones. Several of our FB group members use the information I will share to create wonderful infrared images with their android phones.

Gateway Camera Club membership consists of beginner, intermediate and advanced photographers. The Club’s goals are to share ideas, knowledge and insight; to help improve the skills and abilities of our members and to have some fun while enjoying photography.  The Club is very active and we meet on most Tuesdays.  Visitwww.gatewaycameraclub.org for more information.
