FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham History Center announced changes to its Academy Building. The former schoolhouse turned museum has gained a Reading Room for research at the Framingham History Center.

The library and paper archives have been moved to the first floor of the 1837 Academy Building to provide easy and accessible research within the collections.

The new reading room will be available to the public for research, but by appointment only.

The public is invited to an open house on Wednesday, February 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to view this refreshed space, and learn to conduct research!

This is free event open to the public at 16 Vernon Street.

Masks will be required, per the City order for masks at indoor public venues.

Research is currently by appointment only by calling 508-872-3780 or emailing research@framinghamhistory.org.
