FRAMINGHAM -Framingham firefighters treated a woman, who was struck by a vehicle on Prospect Street today, January 26.
The pedestrian was struck near Hemlock Lane after 4 p.m.
The “80 year old woman was struck while crossing Prospect Street,” said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.
Framingham Fire tower and ambulance 1 responded to the incident.
The woman suffered injuries to her ribs, legs and ankle, on her left side, said Framingham Assistant Fire Chief John Schultz.
She was placed on a backboard, her leg was splinted, and she was transported to UMass Medical Center in Worcester said Chief Schultz.
Witnesses told SOURCE the woman was going to greet a student coming off a school bus, that was stopped, when she was struck.
“The operator remained on scene and was cited,” said Lt. Mickens.
Police are investigating.
