FRAMINGHAM- Janet Marie Baker, 72 of Hopkinton, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. 

She was the daughter of Edith Buttlar and wife of David Earl Baker who died in 2013.

She was a graduate of Dedham High Class of 1967, Janet spent many years as an advocate for special needs children and went on to become a dispatcher and driver for Accept Transportation Services. 

 Janet Baker is survived by her three children; Melissa Baker of Bellingham; Jennifer Canning and her husband Christopher of Ashland; and David Scott Baker and his wife Jennifer of Norton; fifteen grandchildren; Stephen, Kylie, Derrick, Nicholas, Kayla, Andrew, Jared, Emma, Jordyn, Jaelee, Jessa, Julya, and Daniel, one great-grandchild, Liam, siblings, John Buttlar Jr, Joanne Utrera, Claire Constantino, Doris Connolly, Ruth Anne Shea, and Robert Buttlar. She was the grandmother of the late Shawn Canning.

 A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 21st at 11:00am in Christ Lutheran Church, 113 Union St. Natick, with burial to follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Natick.

Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland.
