FRAMINGHAM – For Flyers fans there was very little celebration on the football field on Thanksgiving day.
But one bright spot was the return of the 2000 Super Bowl Championship team from Framingham High School.
Led by captains Robert Obi-Tabot, Ty Perini, and recent Flyers Hall of Fame inductee PJ Rovinelli, marched out on to the field at halftime of the Thanksgiving game.
The 2000 Framingham High football team defeated Acton-Boxboro on December 3, 2000 to become Super Bowl Champions.
At halftime of the 116th meeting of Framingham vs Natick football, the team and its coaches were honored at the 50-yard line.
They told the crowd that the Flyers never lost to Natick during their four years.

Head coach for that 2000 Super Bowl team was former Athletic Director Gary Doherty.
Assistant coaches were Lazaro Mitjans, Matt Walsh, Rodney Spinzola, Ron Healy, Gene Zanella, Rick Slattery, Jeff Robicheau, Connie Sullivan, and Mike Sullivan.
Players, in addition to the captains were Scott Argir, Peter Gorman, Tony Gonzalez, Joey Bayas, Eddie Sawyer, Sami Hatoum, Brenden Duca, Dom Villa, Maurice Rogers, Jermaine Taylor, Charlie Ryan, Dan Mulvey, Mba Azodeh, Jerjes Castillo, Frank Roaks, Gus Martinez, Andrew Del Prete, Ricky Natachione, John Terrasconi, Alejandro Perez, Justin Laramie, Mark Argir, Brian Green, Samir Chenaif, Chris Brown, Brandon London, Tre Robinson, Ellyson Dos Santos, Dan Cahill, Bobby Rossi, Chris Ottaviani, Chris Dudley, Joe Creedon, Colin Hulme, Jarrad Jordan, Terrance Joseph, Justin Tetrault, James DeMeo, Chris Orme, Jeff Paulson, Dave Brown, Romel Mullen, Steven Santiago, and George Chicky Reyes.
