BOSTON – The action by the Baker-Polito administration has the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as one of the most aggressive states against the COVID-19 virus during this world-wide pandemic.
WalletHub compared America’s 50 states and the District of Columbia across 50+ metrics.
Those factors included health insurance availability, COVID-19 tests per capita, banning large gatherings, closing all non-essential businesses, shutting down schools, ordering residents to shelter in place, etc.
Based on those metrics, WalletHub came up with a ranking of the 50 states on how aggressive each is in battling this coronavirus.
Massachusetts ranked eighth overall.

New York came in as the most aggressive state against the virus, followed by the District of Colombia, Alaska, Hawaii, and New Jersey.
New England states Rhode Island and New Hampshrie were ranked 6th and 9th. Vermont was 12th, Connecticut was 14th, and Maine was 17th.
Oklahoma was ranked 50th.

In regards to testing, Massachusetts ranks 8th in testing too.
