WILLIAMSTOWN – The Framingham State University women’s cross country team returned to the trails Saturday with a strong performance at the 2021 Williams College Purple Valley Cross Country Invitational.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • The Rams were paced by freshman Camille Carvalho (Spencer, Mass.) who completed the 6K course with a time of 29:19.
  • Classmate Leah Chace (East Greenwich, RI) and junior Katie Hayes (Dedham, Mass.) were the next two Rams to finish with times of 31:14 and 31:26 respectively.

  • Freshman Amanda Bedard (Paxton, Mass.) and Elizabeth Dykstra (Sutton, Mass.) followed for the Rams just two and three places behind Hayes.  Bedard crossed in a time of 31:42 and Dykstra was just eight seconds behind at 31:50.
  • Junior Kammarie Pelland (Fitchburg, Mass.) and sophomore Emily Newcomb (Raynham, Mass.) rounded out the top seven for the Rams at 32:51 and 34:48.
