FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham High School student brought a BB gun to school not once but twice last week, according to Principal Carolyn Banach.
“On Friday night, a student admitted to bringing a BB gun to school on Tuesday and Wednesday and showed it to several students,” said the Principal.
“We take this matter very seriously and will continue the investigation,” said Principal Banach. “Weapons in school will not be tolerated and anyone involved will be held accountable by both Massachusetts General Law and the FPS Code of Character, Conduct, and Support.”
SOURCE media sent requests to the Framingham Police department about a weapon in the high school on Thursday morning, September 16.
On Friday, September 17 around 10:30 a.m. Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens said “There have been no weapons confiscated. The social media chatter about the weapon is being investigated. There were two physical altercations one on Monday and one on Wednesday, no weapons involved in either.”

“The FHS Administration in collaboration with the Framingham Police Department has conducted a thorough investigation into the social media posts regarding a weapon being brought into the school this past week,” said Principal Banach in an email to parents on Saturday afternoon around 4:15 p.m.”At no time did the administration receive a direct report that a weapon was seen by a student or staff member. All information was circulating on social media. The information we did gather as a result of our investigations provided several names.
“This past week a small number of students engaged in unacceptable conduct. The high school administration thoroughly investigated all incidents and violations of school rules. While we cannot share the details of an investigation, outcome, and accountability measures, rest assured that the safety of our students and staff is our top priority,” wrote the Framingham High Principal to parents on Saturday afternoon.

“I want to acknowledge the vast majority of our amazing students who come to school every day ready to learn and fully engage in school life. Thank you so much for the positive energy, ideas, feedback, gifts, and talents that you consistently share to bolster and strengthen our school community. I regret any angst or interruption you may have experienced as a result of the behavior of a small number of students over this past week,” concluded the Principal. “As always, if you see something, say something.”
