FRAMINGHAM – Framingham District Court Clerk Magistrate John A. DeLuca died unexpectedly on August 1, 2020, at age 70.

Today, a year after his death, a large crowd gathered in front of the courthouse as a memorial bench was dedicated in his honor.

Deluca worked for 40 years at the courthouse on Concord Street in downtown Framingham.

He grew up minutes from the courthouse, and graduated from Framingham Public Schools. He was a graduate of Utica College, and earned his law degree from Suffolk University. In 1978, he started as an Assistant Clerk with the Framingham District Court working his way up to Clerk Magistrate.
