ASHLAND – Massachusetts Senate President Karen Spilka released a video message today, March 30, who thanked everyone who is helping during the coronavirus pandemic, including health care workers, first responders, grocery store workers, pharmacists, gas station attendants, DPW workers, etc.

She also thanked teachers and schools for quickly moving to online learning options.

And then she thanked all those who are ‘heeding the calling and staying at home and practicing social distancing.”

Senate President Spilka said the “Massachusetts Senate is working harder than ever.”

First, to safeguard all of the health of our residents, said Sen. Spilka.

And second to deal with the immediate economic fallout of this public health crisis, said Sen. Spilka.

She then discussed the recent bills that have passed.

“I know this is a difficult time, but we are Massachusetts, but we get through this together,” said Sen. Spilka.

She suggested reaching out to neighbors who are senior citizens and to help your neighbors out, while practicing social distancing.

She recorded the video with her rescue dog Lincoln.
