FRAMINGHAM – The 11-member Framingham City Council unanimously approved Kathleen Hauck and Shannon Stevens to the 5-member Framingham Parks & Recreation Commission on Tuesday, June 29.
Framingham Parks & Recreation “Commissioners generally represent the community and typically have expertise in the areas of parks (landscaping or athletic fields, recreation activities, leagues, or cultural events), youth sports (organized and pick-up), natural resources, public health, and construction. Advising the Mayor in the areas of public policy and long-range planning of recreation facilities for community use and public enjoyment,” wrote the Mayor to the 11-member City Council in a memo on June 4.
District 3 resident Hauck is the current Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission
Stevens of District 8 is the President of FramBARK, advocating and spearheading efforts to establish the City’s first community dog park.
