FRAMINGHAM – Leo J. Larivee, 72, of Medway and formerly of Framingham, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 following a brief illness.

Born in Framingham he was the son of the late Armand & Louise (Walsh) Larivee.

A graduate of Framingham North High School, Leo began pursuing his love of music while attending the Boston Conservatory with a focus on the tuba.

His true passion, Barbershop music, quickly became his life’s work.

He spent most of his adult life sharing his love with the world as the Director of the Sound Assembly Barbershop Harmony Chorus, and as a founding member of the Irish Association of Barbershop Singing. All the while still managing to be the New England Patriots number one fan.

Leo’s life was made stronger by the love and pride of his family, his children, Theresa L. of Jamaica Plain, and Kehan J. of Medway, his sister, Donna Larivee of Framingham, and the countless dear and close friends he met around the world, particularly in Ireland.

Family and friends will honor and remember Leo’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham on Wednesday, July 7 from 4-7 p.m.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 10 o’clock.
