FRAMINGHAM – The first summer track meet since 2019 was held last night at Bowditch Field.

Framingham Parks & Recreation Department reported more than 100 participants registered for the Wednesday Night Family Track Meet.

The track meets have been a tradition in Framingham during the summer for decades, but were cancelled last summer due to the COVID pandemic.

They are held jointly with Framingham Parks & Recreation and the Greater Framingham Running Club.

“So many smiles and laughs! A TON of family fun! A HUGE thank you to the Greater Framingham Running Club for making this awesome program a possibility! Can’t wait to see how many participants come out next week,” wrote Parks & Recreation on social media.

The track meets are open for ages 4 and older.

The cost to register is $1 each Wednesday night.
