Framingham Police & Traffic Commission To Track Speeding on Potter Road

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Traffic Commission and the Framingham Police will be monitoring speeding on Potter Road, over the next couple of weeks.

Last night, at the virtual Traffic Commission meeting Chair Bill Sedewitz said the Commission will examine speeding concerns on Potter Road, located in Nobscot. Potter Road Elementary School is also located on the neighborhood road.

Sedewitz explained how a consultant was brought in to analyze the speeding along Brook Street and Potter Road, but the fully collected data won’t be available until June 30. As a result, the Traffic Commission postponed further discussion around the issue until the full data is available.

In the meantime, Framingham Police Traffic & Safety Bureau Commander Lt. Harry Wareham has had officers stationed nearby Potter Road to monitor speeding. 

“There’s limitations to how much enforcement [we can allocate], but I’m glad it’s been helpful,” Sedewitz said. “We’ll see if we can do something a little bit more permanent.”
