FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced today, 39 new COVID-19 cases since Monday, April 12.
That is almost 300 new cases in the month of April.
Since the pandemic, there have been 242 deaths.
On April 1, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts moved the City of Framingham back into the red, designating the community as a high-risk for the spread of the coronavirus. Framingham is still at high-risk for the spread of the virus.

Framingham has had a total of 7,908 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 74,000 residents.
That means more 10.5% of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began a year ago this month.
The good news is 6,162 individuals have recovered.
Last month, Gov. Baker announced that the public, age 16 and older, would be eligible for the vaccine starting April 19.
Active cases in the City of Framingham increased from 1,482 to 1,504
Individuals in quarantine increased from 660 to 663.
