FRAMINGHAM – “In response to the COVID-19 outbreak and after conferring with Cardinal Seán, all Archdiocese of Boston parish schools and Archdiocesan elementary and high schools will be closed for two weeks from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. On an ongoing basis, we will consider whether this period needs to be extended further.”

This means Saint Bridget School in Framingham will close for 2 weeks.

“The education of the children is a primary concern with a closure of this length so that they continue to learn the skills and concepts they need to master to successfully complete this school year,’ said Principal Cathleen R. Chaves.

” The faculty have developed plans for remote learning so that the students can move forward in their education. Recognizing that an online classroom is very different from being in school, the teachers have been creative in developing lessons and activities that make use of hands-on work and high quality digital resources.  They have also thoughtfully prepared activities and assignments that will enable them to assess student mastery,” said Chaves in an email to parents

“It is important that all students have equal access to the resources they need to be successful with remote learning.  Please let me know by email if your child needs a digital device to work at home.  A loan of a school Chromebook will be arranged,” said the Principal

“This is a challenging and emotional time for all of us.  Please know that you and your families are in my prayers,” said Chaves.
