FRAMINGHAM – Jack’s Abby has always given back to the community, but the Framingham-based company continued to due so during the pandemic, despite its own struggles.
The Framingham brewery and beer hall donated almost $90,000 in 2020 in cash or in-kind donations.
“At the end of each year, we like to take a moment and look back on what we have accomplished. 2020 was an incredibly challenging year for the brewery. We were not able to give as much as we have in the past, however, it remained important to us to continue supporting our local community in the ways we could – from pizza deliveries at MetroWest Medical Center to partnering with local non-profits to host virtual 5Ks,” said the Framingham brewery and beer hall.
“We will not forget who we are. This brewery is part of a community. No matter how challenging the year was for us, one of our core missions is to be both supportive and involved in our local community – and COVID doesn’t change that,” said Jack Hendler, Co-Owner of Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers.
“The City of Framingham and its community has been incredibly supportive to my brothers and me since we first opened our doors. We have always tried to return that support, especially now as COVID has greatly impacted all of our lives. We felt it was as important to step up in any way we could. In addition to donating pizzas ourselves, we opened the ability for our customers to donate pizzas to several causes and we are particularly proud of the response this received. Thank you to everyone that joined us in this effort,” said Eric Hendler, Co-Owner of Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers, who is also a Framingham resident.
