FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police announced this afternoon, March 12, the death of dispatcher Sheryl Werner.

“We suffered a terrible loss. We learned of the sudden passing of Dispatcher Sheryl Werner after a brief illness. Sheryl was an employee of the Framingham Police Department for the past 35 years, and had a positive impact on all of us,” wrote the police department on social media.

“She was a hard worker, and we will miss her positivity and reliable work. Sheryl not only impacted all of us, but she was part of the larger law enforcement community,” wrote the Framingham Police.

“Dispatchers from surrounding towns would call just to ask Sheryl a question, knowing she would have the answer. It’s very hard to put this loss into words. Sheryl was more than an employee, she was family,” wrote Framingham Police.
