NATICK – The Natick Center Cultural District and the Natick Garden Club will present Art in Bloom on April 17.

The event will be held noon to 4 p.m. at Adams Street and Court Street. Rain date is April 18.

Natick Garden Club members will design floral arrangements inspired by the public art in Natick.  There are many fantastic public art pieces to choose from like The Unconventional Garden, Wings of the Butterfly, various electrical boxes, the bus stop mural and mosaics.

The event will take place on Adams and Court Street and will allow visitors to walkthrough and view these works of art with the corresponding floral arrangements.  Other works of art that are not in the immediate area will be set on tables with a photo of the art next to the arrangement.

Natick’s Art in Bloom will be taking place during the Natick Center sidewalk sale.

The Natick Garden Club will also have an information table and some sidewalk sale items, to include wildflower seed packets, DIY sunflower seed pots, and notecards.

This will be an outdoor event and all social distancing protocols will be in place requiring masks and 6 feet of distance between groups.

The mission of the Natick Garden Club is to “promote a positive educational environment for sharing gardening, horticultural, and conservation information and to encourage civic planting, beautification, and service in the Natick community.”

Organized in 1998 by three women, the Natick Garden Club currently has about 80 members.

The Natick Center Cultural District is “fostered by a private-public partnership, managed by Natick Center Associates (NCA). This nonprofit organization is comprised of property owners, retail and office workers, concerned neighbors, town officials, nonprofits and corporations with a history of more than 40 years working together for downtown revitalization.”

“We strive to be a great example of a successful community-driven alliance dedicated to preserving the small-town feel and the big-city amenities. We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Natick Garden Club on this event and shed light on the fantastic group that provides beauty to the Natick Center downtown businesses and town each season. Their work adds joy and brilliance during a time when we need it most,” said the Natick Center Cultural District.
